Where’s the Beef!?

By gonzalez-girlz | August 30, 2015

Every once in awhile something special arrives to our Sunday 5th Street Farmer’s Market. The most recent addition is, Le French Butcher! Master Butcher Jean-Claude Setin and his wife Susan Setin are bringing fresh meat to DTLA weekly. Jean-Claude Hails from Nice, France on the French Riviera, where he became a successful French Style Butcher. They met each other when Susan came into his shop to buy parmesan cheese and it was love at first sight. This passionate couple is committed to supporting grass fed beef and pastured farming through their products. They also offer domestic lamb and free-range foraged poultry, all sourced directly from California Farms. Their goal is to open their own shop in DTLA, and revive the traditional neighborhood butcher who know their clients personally. How fabulous would that be for DTLA, to have its own French Butcher! Oh la la! Don’t forget to keep a look out for their online store coming in September. We cook a lot in our loft and I know where I will be buying my meat from. If you need meat for the week, then head to Le French Butcher, where you will get amazing and helpful service from Jean-Claude and Susan, who are DTLA enthusiasts!
